Housebreaking suspects sentenced to 15 years in prison

SECUNDA – The Secunda Police Station congratulated Det Const Thokozani Nyembe and other police officers who helped him to secure a good sentence for house burglars.

The men were facing about 16 housebreaking charges, including two in Trichardt and two in eMbalenhle.

They were arrested after they were caught with stolen property.

Through investigation police established they were linked to other crimes in the area.

Cervacio Quebo(27), Ricardo Tempe(26) and Agostinah Vilankulu (24) were found guilty in the Evander Regional Court recently.

Quebo was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment, Tempe to six years and Vilankulu to six years’ imprisonment.

W/O Thulani Gamede, police spokesman, congratulated the members and said the local police are hard at work to reduce crime in the area.
