Trichardt Family robbed during a braai

More people are starting to get robbed while they are having a braai.

The local police said a family was having a gathering at home when they were allegedly robbed by four men carrying firearms on Saturday, 15 July.

Four adults were inside the house and two were outside at the braai.

Two children between six and nine years old were playing outside.

Four unknown men armed with firearms entered the backyard and ordered the children and two men standing at the braai to go inside the house, while pointing the firearms at them.

When everyone was inside the house, the robbers demanded money and cell phones.

After collecting everything, they locked the people inside the room and fled with keys, 10 cell phones, a wedding ring and R3 000.

No one has been arrested yet and no injuries were reported.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery.

Anyone with information, must contact Det W/O VV Sindane at 017 638 0241.
