Local farmers and police meet to discuss farm safety

Local farmers and the police had a meeting on Saturday, 11 November to discuss farm safety.

Brig Sifiso Cele addressed the farmers and those in attendance had the opportunity to raise their concerns.

According to Lt Bettina Zondo, spokesperson of Secunda Police, a safety plan was discussed and at the next meeting more safety plans will be presented.

“It is good that the farmers and the police could meet. The farmers should feel safe on their farms,” said Lt Zondo.

The next meeting between farmers and the police will be on Friday, 24 November at 5pm.
