Secunda Flying Squad arrests four men for possession of unlicensed firearms on N17 highway near Trichardt Toll gate

TRICHARDT – Four men were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and suspected stolen property.

Members of Secunda Flying Squad were doing their regular patrols on the N17 highway near Trichardt Toll gate on 8 May when they stopped a black BMW X3 with four men inside.

They were searched and police found 45 packets of cigarettes with blood stains, 130 airtime vouchers to the value of R530, three unlicensed firearms, three magazines and 13 rounds in a boot.

All four men were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition and suspected stolen goods.

The police are still busy with investigations and anyone with information that could assist in this case, can contact Det Const Themba Agreemore Sindane at 017 638 0241‬.
