WATCH: Charred body found in Evander

EVANDER – Police suspected foul play in the missing person case in Evander.

Post mortem and DNA tests must confirm the identity of the deceased.

The two suspects were remanded in custody and will appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, 6 August.

A third suspect is still at large.

VIDEO 1 – 2.20pm: Evander Police find a charred body behind nr 5 Shaft of Evander Gold Mine

EVANDER – Police have found a body in a pipe behind the nr 5 shaft of Evander Gold Mine.

They suspect it is the remains of Mr Mervin van Heerden.

VIDEO 2 – 2.30pm: Evander Police find charred body behind nr 5 Shaft of Evander Gold Mine

EVANDER – Police have found a body in a pipe behind the nr 5 shaft of Evander Gold Mine.

VIDEO 3 – 2.45pm: Police and rescue workers are planning and working together to get the body out of the pipe

VIDEO 4 – 3.10pm: Body very badly burned.

Mostly just bones remain.
