Two learners to appear in court for assault on bus driver

LEANDRA – The two siblings who allegedly assaulted the MegaBus bus driver in September, are expected to appear in the Leandra Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 10 October.

It is alleged that the siblings assaulted the bus driver for allegedly leaving them behind.

According to the police, other learners were getting into the bus when the 19-year-old learner kicked the driver and the 15-year-old allegedly hit him with a fist.

The driver drove to the police station and opened a case.

The suspects briefly appear in court in September and the 19-year-old was released on warning and the minor was released into his parents custody.

The video of the incident went viral ón social media.
