TRICHARDT – KG Fit Gym at TerraNova is celebrating their first birthday with a fun day to raise awareness and money for charity.
Among the benefactors of this event are the Lupus Foundation and Little Paws Big Hearts.
Ms Karen Gräbe, co-owner of KG Fit, suffers from Lupus, a rare disease that are often misdiagnosed because of its wide variety of symptoms and is often associated with other issues such as Fibromyalgia.
The birthday bash takes place on Saturday, 3 November at the area around the gym near Crawdaddy’s.
Visitors can expect fun day stalls, a beer tent, exhibits, sport events, a beauty contest and lots of entertainment for everyone of all ages.
The 5km fun for pets and their owners will begin at 7am with entries. This will be in aid of Little Paws Big Hearts.
Entry fee is R50 per person and dog collar and leash that LPBH can use when they go on their outreaches to the squatter camps.
There will also be some fun prizes for the best dressed and for the dog and owner who looks alike.
The KG Fit Face of Fitness contest will be held for male and female contestants between the ages of six and 35 years.
The senior winners will be the KG Fit Ambassadors for promotional and advertising purposes.
Ms Gräbe said the contest will not be judged on the number of muscles or swimwear, but on health and good living.
The proceeds of this competition will be donated to the Lupus Eaglesflight Ministries which is a NPO.
The competition includes sashes and crowns for all the winners, a professional photo shoot, and gym membership for prizes.
Visit KG Fit’s web page for entry forms and more information. The closing date is Wednesday, 31 October, so hurry up and enter now to prevent disappointment.
For the rugby lover, there is a fun-filled day of touch rugby planned – enter your group of friends, your school, your class, your golf buddies or even your family.
A team comprises five people and matches are played within minutes.
There will be prizes for the team with the best spirit, the winners of the day and much more.
