Secunda K9 Unit arrests six people for drug-related crimes

The Nyaope that were recovered during the intelligence operation.

Six people were arrested for drug-related crimes in eMbalenhle recently.

The arrests came as a result of an intelligence-driven operation by Secunda K9 and Secunda CIG in the area.

The following people were arrested:

A 37-year-old Zimbabwean woman for possession of 0,480kg dagga with a street value of R1460.

A 59-year-old African woman for possession of 1,160kg dagga with a street value of R11 600.

A 25-year-old African man for dealing in drugs (Nyaope) who had 138 packets of Nyaope with a street value of R6 900, and R1 766-50.

A 31-year-old African man for possession of 0,246kg dagga with a street value of R2 460.

One suspect, an African man, ran away when the police approached his house.

He left behind R11 900 and 1,600kg dagga with a street value of R16 600.

The suspects will appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court soon.
